God never fails (Psalms 73:25-26)
Read those verses again… ask yourself, honestly… “does this describe me?” If everything else in life had to be given up - would we still pray this Psalm?
The Bible is full of encouragement and conviction. This passage, in a way, hits both. We look around this world, and it’s brokenness… we look ahead to the life after, and it’s possibility… Who else but the LORD is a fulfillment of, or answer to, both of those things??
When time on earth is hard - we go to the LORD in prayer… when we weep over things lost, people lost… we look ahead to a time when all tears have ceased and there is no more pain, suffering, death or sin.
Our actual strength WILL fail us. It’s a guarantee. But the LORD God, and His strength, will NEVER fail us. So I ask you, I ask ME, again - “do we believe that prayer?”
“LORD, may we be changed by Your power. May we look at the enticing things of this world and reject them - seeking only You, and pleasure in Your name and presence. Be with us each day as we seek Christ… seek to produce the Fruit of the Spirit… and become more and more like Him - acting as His hands and feet. Amen!”
